Inspired by the work being done at UCLA's Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center,
Ali Jassim and his family have taken on one of medicine's greatest challenges — eradicating cancer.
The Ali Jassim Family Cancer Research Fund at UCLA's Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center promotes patient-centered innovation in discovery science and cancer care, providing the tools needed to advance some of the most promising work in the field. The $10 million gift to establish the Fund will build the Ali Jassim Family Cancer Research Suite as well as create the Ali Jassim Family Cancer Research Program.
"I believe in giving back to society and making a difference in the world, and it gives my family and me great pleasure to contribute to UCLA's premier cancer program," said Jassim. "The fight against cancer begins with research, and research cannot continue without funding."
- The UCLA Ali Jassim Family Cancer Research Program - The Program invests in specific researchers and physician-scientists whose efforts represent meaningful steps forward in the fight against cancer.
- The Ali Jassim Family Cancer Research Suite - Soon to be located in the recently renovated South Tower of UCLA’s Center for Health Sciences, this state-of-the-art pair of laboratories will bring JCCC research teams together in a more collaborative environment than ever before.
