STOP CANCER's 2017 research awards for UCLA physician-scientists totaled $450,000 and were allocated as outlined below.

 

Research Career Development Awards

STOP CANCER members and donors helped to fund Research Career Development Awards (RCDAs) of $150,000 each. The JCCC's 2017 STOP CANCER RCDA recipients were:

  • Andrew Goldstein, Ph.D.
  • Nicholas Nickols, M.D., Ph.D.
Seed Grants

STOP CANCER Member Seed Grants of $25,000 each were funded by groups of donors who selected a specific type of cancer research as their area of interest. Named Seed Grants were funded in full by individual STOP CANCER supporters.

Six 2017 STOP CANCER Seed Grants were awarded to JCCC researchers as follows:
