Calais earned the honor “for outstanding leadership in nuclear medicine science” at the gathering in March in Sun Valley, Idaho.
Calais, who’s also the director of the UCLA Theranostics Program and director of the Clinical Research Program of the Ahmanson Translational Theranostics Division, is a nuclear medicine physician specializing in cancer imaging and theranostics. His goal is to improve the outcome of patients with cancer through theranostic approaches and the application of knowledge gained from preclinical models and clinical studies.
