Dr. Sanaz Memarzadeh's research interests include identification and characterization of normal ovarian surface epithelium and normal ovarian surface epithelial stem cells, identification and isolation of ovarian cancer stem cells using cell surface markers, identification of genetic pathways essential for survival of ovarian cancer stem cells and targeting these essential genetic survival pathways in conjunction with chemotherapy and surgery in treatment of ovarian cancer.
