Each lecture features a leading professional who provides up-to-date information, practical advice and answers to cancer-related questions.

Life Over Cancer: A New Model of Integrative Cancer Treatment

Keith I. Block, MD, co-founder, medical/scientific director of the Block Center for Integrative Cancer Treatment, integrative cancer treatment specialist and author of Life Over Cancer, and Penny Block, PhD, executive director, and psychosocial oncology specialist, discuss combining cutting-edge conventional treatment with individualized and scientifically-based complementary, mind/body and nutraceutical therapies. Issues to be discussed include nutrition during and after treatment, supplements, and key strategies to address the significant psychological issues cancer patients often face that influence quality of life. Patients are provided with a systematic, research-based plan for developing the nutritional, physical and emotional vitality they need to meet the demands of treatment and recovery.


This lecture will be held in the NPI Auditorium, C8-183, Semel Institute, 760 Westwood Plaza. Book signing to follow.

UCLA parking is $11 and is wheelchair accessible. Attendees can park in the medical plaza, or take advantage of the valet parking at the front of Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.
