Reclaiming Sexuality: A Roadmap for Survivors and Partners

Beth Leedham, PhD, clinical psychologist and certified sex therapist specializing in sexuality after cancer, discusses how cancer survivors and their partners can reestablish intimacy and develop a revitalized sexual connection. Sexual problems among cancer survivors are very common and can have a major impact on quality of life for them and their partners. However, the experience of surviving cancer can also provide a unique opportunity from which to explore, expand, and deepen romantic and sexual intimacy. This lecture discusses ways in which cancer and cancer treatments can affect sexuality and illustrates how biological, psychological, and social interventions can help survivors and their partners reclaim their sex lives.

Insights Into Cancer lectures are held in the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center Auditorium, B Level, Room B130, 757 Westwood Plaza, Los Angeles, CA 90095.

UCLA parking is $11 and is wheelchair accessible. Attendees can park in the medical plaza, or take advantage of the valet parking at the front of Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.
