Presented by
Aparna Bhaduri, PhD
Assistant Professor, Department of Medicine, Department of Biological Chemistry
Dr. Bhaduri is seeking to understand how different cell populations within a tumor contribute to tumor origin, progression, and recurrence in glioblastoma. In addition to using primary patient tumor resections, Dr. Bhaduri is also working with and developing new ways of culturing these tumors in vitro while maintaining their original heterogeneity. This work is complementary to the work in the lab studying normal neural progenitor cell fate specification, as developmental trajectories are frequently co-opted during tumorigenesis.
Light lunch served.
Sponsored by the UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center Cancer and Stem Cell Biology research program.
