Dr. Carolyn Coyne is a professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, serving the departments of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics; Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences; Pediatrics; and Immunology. Her research combines important aspects of virology, immunology, and cell biology to dissect various aspects of host-virus interactions, with a particular focus on polarized cell types.
