Presented by
Richard Everson, MD
Assistant Professor in Residence, Department of Neurosurgery
Won Kim, MD
Health Sciences Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Neurosurgery

Dr. Richard Everson’s research is focused on clinical trials for patients with central nervous system tumors, evaluating the makeup of individual patient tumors including next generation sequencing to identify targetable mutation, developing next-generation immunotherapy treatments and nderstanding the causes of, and determining treatments for, tumor genetic syndromes.

Dr. Won Kim is interested in studying the genetic alterations and the immune environments that allow brain metastases to survive within the central nervous system. By furthering knowledge regarding these factors, his hope is to find novel ways to target these tumors through immunotherapeutic means. Additionally, he is interested in improving the ability to quantify tumor burden and detect early progression through the sampling of cell free DNA in the cerebrospinal fluid.
