Xinshu (Grace) Xiao, Ph.D.
Associate Professor, Department of Integrative Biology and Physiology
Dr. Grace Xiao’s group is interested in the regulation of gene expression at the RNA level via the process of pre-mRNA splicing and other post-transcriptional (or co-transcriptional) mechanisms. They are investigating how different sequence motifs and trans-acting regulatory RNA or proteins exert concerted regulation to gene expression and how such regulation is disrupted in disease processes. Their work makes use of high-throughput sequencing and microarray expression technologies and approaches in molecular biology and bioinformatics.
