Each lecture features a leading professional who provides up-to-date information, practical advice and answers to cancer-related questions.

Pancreatic Cancer 2018: Surgical and Medical Treatment

Timothy R. Donahue, M.D., UCLA Associate Professor of Surgery and Molecular and Medical Pharmacology, Chief of the Division of Surgical Oncology and Vice Chair of Cancer Surgery, and Zev Wainberg, M.D., UCLA Associate Professor, medical oncologist and Co-Director of the GI Oncology Program and Medical Director of the UCLA Colorectal Cancer Center, discuss surgical and medical treatments for pancreatic cancer. Pancreatic cancer is a common cause of cancer-related deaths for both men and women in the United States. When caught early, it can occasionally be cured. Treatments include surgery, radiation, chemotherapy and novel biologic agents. A comprehensive overview of the treatment of pancreatic cancer is discussed, including recent clinical trials with improved survival for patients with advanced-stage disease.

UCLA parking is $12 and is wheelchair accessible. Attendees can park in the medical plaza, or take advantage of the valet parking at the front of Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.
