Prostate Cancer 2018: What Next?
Matthew Rettig, M.D., UCLA Professor, medical oncologist and researcher discusses prostate cancer, the most common cancer in men. While many men live with active surveillance without treatment, it is important to understand the types of systemic approaches used if surgery or radiation therapy is deemed necessary and appropriate. Treatments used after initial interventions as well as those available if prostate cancer progresses, including both traditional and cutting edge options, such as hormonal therapies, immunotherapies, novel biologics, chemotherapy and new approaches in clinical trials, are discussed.
