Nutrition for Cancer Patients
Carolyn Katzin, M.S., C.N.S.,
discusses nutrition for patients with cancer. Good nutrition is
essential for patients both during and after treatment. In this
new era of precision medicine and its sister science of precision
nutrition, the “one size fits all” type of diet recommendations
ideally should be tailored for each cancer patient. She presents
some general concepts along with some simple tools that help
identify which types of foods and dietary supplements would be
most helpful for cancer patients based on the patient’s current
health status and family history.
