Breast Cancer 2017: Not Your Mother’s Treatment Options
We are experiencing an an explosion of new treatment options for both early and advanced breast cancer. While inspiring, the multitude of options can be overwhelming. It is easy to get lost in a sea of medical language, making it difficult for a patient to choose the right treatment for her.
Breast cancer is not one disease and there is no “one size fits all” approach. An effective treatment plan must be personalized, to both the individual and to her specific type of breast cancer. Rena Callahan, MD reviews breast cancer treatment then, now, and in the future in a way that is easy to understand so that patients and their families are armed with information to ensure they have the most current and effective treatment plan
